My views on social care

Even though the government has a great structure in place which is to meet the needs of the child, is there more that they could do?

Just in my everyday working life, I see a lot of loop holes where power is used, but is it always for the good of the child?

As much as I think that the child’s welfare is paramount, I do believe that the parent’s voice in the home should be obeyed.

The government have given the child power in the home, and we live in a society that talks back. If a child hits their parent, there is no help or discipline of the child.

However, if the role is reversed and the child is harmed in any way then he or she can take steps to have their parent arrested or investigated, which could lead to the child being removed from the home.

The point I am making is, a child is not just from 0-5, they are for life. You will get out of them what you put in, so anything you don’t want them to say - don’t say it around them. Anything you don’t want them to do, don’t do it in front of them.  Children learn by example and you the parent are their role models.
