Some foods seem to trigger 'out of control' behaviour for some people with ADHD, but so do excitement (eg. being at a party), and 'stimulating environments' such as supermarkets and noisy classrooms.
A complete assessment by a doctor should be made before trying any treatment. Treating ADHD can be done through medical or behavioural therapies or a combination of the two.
ADHD can cause a lot of pressure on a family especially as it’s a difficult illness to deal with. Many parents find it a struggle and extremely difficult to cope in such stressful circumstances, as this is due to the verbal, physical and mental abuse that parents often receive from their child.
