Stay Safe: Using the Internet
The fastest and cheapest way to communicate nowadays is online, it’s a great way to interact with friends and family, especially if you have friends living aboard; but it’s important to consider the dangers and make sure you stay safe when using the internet.
It’s important to remember that when using a chat room, never give out your real name or any personal details about yourself. Use a nickname and if at any point during the conversation you start to feel uncomfortable, close the conversation and let someone know.
Remember, some people are not always who they say they are, and as well as being a great way to connect with people all over the world, the internet can be dangerous.
