You’re either going to “love ‘em or hate ‘em”, but it’s true that they are Heelarious – The sassy new heels for babies.
Already causing a stir, Childline is condemning the baby high heels whilst others are saying that heels are not for babies and encourages mothers to dress their tots as miniature versions of themselves and even sexualise them.
However, they have proved to be a huge success in the States and are a must have for all babies. The creators, two mothers have stated on their website,
“Extremely funny. Completely soft shoes for babies….May cause extreme smiling and hysterical laughter when in use.”
The striking heels are only aimed for 0-6 month tots and are made out of a soft fabric with a satin finish. Six designs are available from leopard skin print, to bright pink or even black and white stripe zebra print and when you see them, you can’t help but laugh aloud.
The novelty pumps are quoted on the website as “Not intended for walking (heels collapse with weight.) Not intended to harm children in any way.”
Would I personally get a pair for my child? Probably not, but I would rather get a pair of these wacky heels than allow my child to go through the pain of getting her ears pierced.
